I’ve been holding my breath for a long time, waiting for people to say certain things, do certain things, change their minds about the way they feel. Say whatever you want. Do whatever makes you feel temporarily satisfied. Stay if you want to stay. Go if you feel you need to. There was a better way to do things that didn’t involve silence.
